DirectPay integration roadmap for Xero and Shopify Platforms

Here is a breakdown of the steps involved to add DirectPay payment method on Xero and Shopify.

Register your business

Estimated completion: 10 mins

In order to set up the payment method, we’ll need some basic information about you and your business to verify your identity. This includes business registration details and some basic information about key individuals in the business. This information is collected and handled as per the guidelines laid out by the Government of Canada, under FINTRAC. At this stage, we’ll also collect your business banking information where the payments will be settled.

If you want more information at any time, reach out to your account manager or fill out our contact form. Sign up today.

Risk review

Estimated time: 1-2 days

Based on your information about your business and industry category, the DirectPay team has already started evaluating your risk profile. We may reach out to you for additional information if needed.

Finalize your agreement

For the Shopify platform:

Estimated completion: 1-2 days

After all, approvals are in place, we will send over a DocuSign to finalize the agreement. If everything is accurate, send it back to DirectPay with a signature. Remember there is no risk with signing the agreement. You still have control of when you want to turn on Interac e-Transfer with DirectPay.

For Xero platform:

Your agreement is already signed during the registration process. There is nothing more you need to do.

Going Live

Estimated time: 1 day

Once you’ve completed all of the above, your onboarding manager will provide you with the API keys to get you up and running. Make sure to check with your account manager on how we can support you in marketing DirectPay.
